Fog City Harps LGFC is one of San Francisco’s oldest athletic clubs. Established in 1994, Fog City Harps has a club membership of over 60 players of all abilities, ranging from American, Irish, English, and Australian.
Fog City Harps currently has a junior and senior team, and always welcomes new members!
We pride ourselves in developing and improving ladies football in San Francisco and the Bay Area. We focus on developing skills from the basics up, and encourage everyone to play and participate in both social and club events.

I first joined Fog City Harps in the summer of 2013 where I made instant friends and had the best summer of my life! When I returned to Ireland to finish college, I jumped at the chance to go back to SF in 2015 to put on the black and white jersey yet again! After a few more years of back and forth with college, I have been a consistent player and member since 2018, and I feel so lucky to finally call Fog City Harps my home club!

As a complete novice to Gaelic Football, I wasn't sure what to expect when I joined Fog City Harps. However, from the moment I walked on to the field I instantly felt comfortable and was welcomed with open arms by everyone. Coach Ash B was patient and helped me get down the basics, and the girls all encouraged me every step of the way ensuring I had a solid foundation. I am so grateful I was introduced to Fog City Harps, their love for the game and community spirit motivated me to push myself to new heights! The friendship and camaradre goes far beyond training sessions and games, making so many new friends for life is my favorite part!

Playing football with Fog City Harps during my summer J1 in 2019 was the best decision I ever made! From the very first day I had an absolute ball. I loved every minute of it, all the friends I made from all over Ireland and now so many more in San Francisco. The girls who hold the club together were so helpful from day 1 and made sure I was always comfortable and always there to give advice and help with navigating a new city. My favorite part was traveling to the USGAA Finals in Virginia and finishing off my summer the best way possible!
