Opening Day at Páirc na nGael Marks a Historic Start to the 2025 Season

Sunday marked Opening Day for the San Francisco Gaelic Athletic Association, and Páirc na nGael hosted some thrilling matches to kick off the 2025 season.

The day was especially historic as it featured the Joseph Mary Plunketts making their first-ever appearance in SFGAA competition. The Plunketts didn’t disappoint, securing a decisive win over veteran club St. Joseph’s and making a bold statement for the season ahead.

The rivalry between Clan Na Gael and the Fog City Harps Ladies clubs reignited with the first match of the three-game St. Patrick’s Cup series. Clan Na Gael claimed the victory, setting the tone for what promises to be a tightly contested series.

The Tipperary Hurling Club notched a strong win over Pearse Óg, showing early form as they gear up for the season.

SFGAA will be taking a short break for the Easter weekend, but the action resumes the following week with two exciting matchups as the Los Angeles Cougars come to town:
