San Francisco GAA Unveils New Logo, Honoring Heritage and Looking to the Future

The San Francisco Gaelic Athletic Association (SFGAA) is excited to reveal our refreshed logo—a modernized design that celebrates our deep Irish roots while embracing the future of Gaelic sports in the Bay Area.

Designed to be versatile and adaptable, the new logo keeps key elements from our previous design, including the four provinces of Ireland—Connacht, Leinster, Munster, and Ulster—as well as the bridge, symbolizing both the Bay Area and the cultural connection to Ireland.

"You literally have to cross a bridge to get to our home pitch, Páirc na nGael on Treasure Island,” said SFGAA Chairperson Seamus Collins. "But symbolically, it also represents our connection to the Irish community we come from.”

This evolution ensures our identity remains strong across all platforms—from murals and jerseys to social media and promotional materials. The redesign also incorporates the official GAA slogan, "Tá Áit Duinn Uilig Ann" ("Where We All Belong"), reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and community.

“The legacy logo held deep meaning but was difficult to reproduce in many formats,” said SFGAA Public Relations Officer William Wayland, who led the rebranding effort. “We wanted to keep its spirit while ensuring it could be used seamlessly across all applications.”

With this refreshed look, the San Francisco GAA enters an exciting new chapter—one that honors the past while ensuring Gaelic games continue to thrive in our community.
